When a case is billed

A case bills only when every check passes:

  • The team sent a real reply before resolution.
  • Before resolution, Templ recorded at least 1 qualifying step on that case.
  • The case passed its final window without a qualifying reopen.
  • The case has no opening exclusion or duplicate under the resolved-case rules.
  • The case has no free case or grant coverage.

Only these steps count:

  • A returned a definite result: failed, confirmed, pending or token changes.
  • The case's user proved wallet ownership with a free signature.
  • A registered sent a real answer the user saw in that case.

A asks the team to answer. It sends no AI answer. Templ records each qualifying step and its time on the server. The app's failure snapshot alone does not count.

Your first 3 helped cases are free. Each needs a qualifying step, a reply and all the other billing checks. Cases without a qualifying step use no free case, grant case, paid price step or pilot limit.

Never billed

  • Team-only answers with no qualifying Templ step.
  • Transaction checks that return unknown, not found or an error, without another qualifying step.
  • Connected or app-reported wallets without signature proof, without another qualifying step.
  • , automatic greetings or handoff-only messages, without another qualifying step.
  • The app's failure snapshot alone.
  • Steps recorded only after the case was marked resolved.
  • Spam marked before final and qualifying duplicates.
  • Pending charges cancelled by a qualifying reopen.
  • Charges credited after an accepted dispute within the dispute window.
  • Setup, team previews, install previews, listed test accounts and Templ's own checks under their exclusion allowances.
  • Abandoned cases with no final resolution.

Reopen or dispute

A team resolution becomes final after 7 days without a reopen. A user's solved answer becomes final after 24 hours. The user's new message or No cancels the pending charge before final. A team reopen cancels a team resolution before final. It does not cancel a user's confirmed resolution. Resolving a reopened case again checks the same charge. It can bill after the new final window. Templ's managed AI needs the user's Yes before its confirmation window starts.

After final, a can dispute in Plan within 30 days. An accepted dispute returns the charge's amount, free case or grant case. An open dispute leaves the charge in place until Templ accepts it. Resolved-case rules explain automatic credits and review.

The case view shows the billing reason. Each Templ statement line and usage export shows the case reference and reason.

Billing access alone does not open the private case.

Use the free start

Your first 3 helped cases are free. This applies once per billing owner and app domain. The allowance has no end date. Bonus credit applies to the paid amount left after a negative clears.

Keep working below zero

A with a verified top-up or reviewed grant keeps working at any balance. Support does not stop automatically. Templ contacts its billing managers. An audited Templ operator can suspend the workspace. Without either, support pauses at -$20 until a verified top-up clears the balance.

Billing managers get alerts at 80% used, 100% used and below zero.

Alerts never hold, cap or stop service.

Read order forms

A signed can set a price and end date. Order forms explain price steps and team access.

Ask about early credit

Reviewed founding credit In testing

Reviewed founding credit covers 100 resolved cases. It ends when used or 90 days after it starts.

Templ reviews each grant. It is not a payment receipt and does not grant case access.

Read price changes

A higher price applies only after 30 days' notice.

A cheaper table applies at once. Each charge keeps the price table it used when it became pending. An active order form keeps its agreed price through public price changes. A higher price after a form ends needs the same notice. Billing managers see the notice date in Plan and receive it by email.
